Description
During the summer of the year David Finland turned 21 years old, he and his mother Glen rode the Washington, D.C. Metro Rail trains every day. Glen hoped that by learning how the Metro worked, her son, who has autism, would be able to get a job and move out on his own, allowing her to focus on her strained relationship with her partner in marriage. But life is never that simple, and with each glimpse of hope comes another test. A true story told from the perspective of the mother of an Autistic boy, Next Stop: An Autistic Son Grows Up is a glimpse into the challenges of being a parent to an adult on the Autism Spectrum.
